The Spanish companies that form part of the Parque Reunidos Group have obtained the Solidarity Company accreditation issued by the Third Sector Platform. Our objective is to contribute to the generation of social welfare by generating positive impacts, therefore 0,7% of the taxation of our entities will go to finance social projects, among which are social and health care and eco-social impact, promotion of health and independent living, and inclusion in the community, fight against discrimination, coverage of educational needs, training and promotion of labour insertion, promotion of public safety and crime prevention, promotion of equal treatment, prevention of violence, protection of victims, promotion and defence of rights.
The Casilla Empresa Solidaria campaign is promoted by the Plataforma del Tercer Sector, a non-profit organisation, made up of the nine most representative organisations in the social sector: the Spanish Voluntary Work Platform (PVE), the European Network to Combat Poverty and Social Exclusion in Spain (EAPN-ES), the Platform of Social Action NGOs (POAS), the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI), the Spanish Red Cross, Caritas and the Spanish National Organisation of the Blind (ONCE), the Spanish NGDO Coordinator and the Children's Platform.
The "box" Empresa Solidaria is a win-win measure. If we consider the wide-ranging benefits, we can affirm that it is society as a whole that benefits and strengthens. This action is beneficial for those who initiate this commitment to social reconstruction, for companies and for society itself. With this simple gesture, we demonstrate our coherence with our values and take the opportunity to contribute directly to the social transformation that is more necessary than ever, in a context of uncertainty aggravated by the post-pandemic reality and an affected global environment.
There are currently 13.1 million people in Spain who are victims of poverty or social exclusion, representing 27.8% of the Spanish population. This figure has increased in recent years due to the current context of crises (social, environmental and geopolitical) that generate greater uncertainty.
At a time as complex as the present, the Third Sector becomes an essential support for undertaking just social transformation and taking on the collective challenge of regenerating society by looking to the future. This decision will have a great impact and will be able to efficiently develop projects that have an impact on the wellbeing of vulnerable groups. Parques Reunidos will contribute its grain of sand to this great initiative.
