What are you looking for?
If you’re looking for different plans for you and your children in Madrid, here we have some activities you can enjoy for a family day at the movies. Enjoy shows that are entirely exclusive to Europe, visit unique locations or immerse yourself in your favourite movies; these are just some examples of the activities available in the city.
Madrid is a city full of options to enjoy as a family at any time of the year. If there is one thing that is just as fun for both kids and grown-ups, it is the shows at the Gran Vía in Madrid. The capital offers an exclusive programme of shows available every day of the year. On this famous street you can see fantastic musicals, magic shows, concerts, monologues and much more. The programme here is without a doubt equally as impressive as destinations like Broadway in New York or the West End in London.
But if you’re someone who’d rather go see a film with your family, we have around 400 cinemas for you to enjoy throughout the city. It’s not uncommon to find both action films and cartoons on the movie listings, so you can enjoy a delightful time with your little ones.
But not all the options for things to do in Madrid are in the city centre. Just 1 hour away by car you will find various different landscapes and unique locations where not only can your kids create their own fantasy stories, but they can also learn about fascinating history. The Sierra of Madrid, large monasteries like San Lorenzo de El Escorial, activities in the various rivers in the Community, and solo excursions to Gotham City or Metropolis for the bravest of the family... these are just some examples of how much fun there is to be found on the outskirts of the great city of Madrid. Yes, you read that right! The most famous cities from the comics are very close to Madrid, at Parque Warner. What’s more, its streets are full of shows, museums and characters from the movies.
Why not enjoy all these activities in one single place? Are you ready?
Parque Warner Madrid, the only place of its kind in the whole of Europe.
If you’re looking for something to do in Madrid with your kids, Parque Warner is the only place where you can spend the day with your little ones and enjoy all the activities we mentioned all in the same place. Here you won’t just be as excited as if you were watching your favourite movie, you will experience the adventures as if you were really in the movie yourself. And on top of this, you will be accompanied by all your favourite characters from DC Comics, Looney Tunes and Hannah Barbera.
The kids’ favourite places are just 30 minutes by car from the centre of Madrid. If you’re thinking of coming in your Batmobile, we’re at San Martín de la Vega, and to get there all you need to do is take the A-4 motorway, come off at exit 22 and follow the signs.
If you’d prefer to take public transport, like Clark Kent does to get to the Daily Planet newsroom, you can take the Cercanías Madrid C-3 train and get off at the Pinto stop, where you can take the number 413 “La Veloz” bus. You can also take the number 412 “La Veloz” bus at the Villaverde Bajo interchange or buy the Parque Warner + Bus ticket from the Méndez Álvaro Estación Sur.
If there’s one thing that makes Parque Warner a unique theme park in Europe it is its huge size of 30 hectares, full of characters that kids and adults have grown up with their whole lives. Through its themed areas and attractions you’ll be able to visit some of the most famous scenes from cinema and television. The whole place is a real movie studio, with surprises around every corner.
Hollywood Boulevard and Movie World Studios
What kind of career would your little actors and actresses have if they didn’t stop by the Hollywood Walk of Fame itself. As soon as you enter our Park, you can go and visit Teatro Chino, a replica of the original version in Hollywood Boulevard. There you will find some of our characters who will give you the best welcome to the true Hollywood Boulevard in Madrid.
Silence, we’re rolling! Where the production ends, the filming begins at Movie World Studios. Behind the scenes in this area you can have the best of time with Yogi Bear and Boo Boo. A thrilling water fight at Jellystone Park between parents and kids!
Cartoon Village
If there is one place where kids are the true stars, it is Cartoon Village. There are more than 20 attractions in this area, where the whole family can immerse themselves in the adventures of the Looney Tunes or the chases between characters such as Tom & Jerry or Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner.
The family rollercoaster with these characters that are so beloved by everyone will amaze your kids as they follow a track through the desert. The aim is to capture the super speedy bird, so you’ll need to hold on tight. You’ll feel like you’re in an episode of a Warner Bros cartoon! Don’t forget to shout Beep Beep!
But not everything is about speed in this zany area of the park. You can also feel like the main character in any cartoon you like by visiting La Casita de la Abuelita, La Madriguera de Bugs Bunny or El Camerino del Pato Lucas. At Parque Warner you won’t think you’ve seen a puddy cat, you’ll see one for real!
Although this area might seem calm, we should warn you that there’s a mystery in our park. Scooby-Doo and Shaggy will need your help to get rid of the spooky ghosts at Cartoon Village. Whether it be La Aventura de Scooby-Doo or Scooby-Doo’s Tea Party Mistery, we’re sure that you’ll have a terrifyingly good time. Are you able to end the curse together with your family?
DC Super Heroes World
If there is one passion that is passed down from parents to children, it is a love of comics and superheroes. At DC Super Heroes World, parents and children will experience the most spectacular scenes from Metropolis and Gotham City as they fight villains.
Take care and don’t end up frozen! Mr Freeze is on the loose to make you feel the cold in his new machine at Mr.Freeze Fábrica de Hielo. Only together with your family can you stop his evil scheme. And speaking of evil, there is nobody worse than the Joker, who has unleashed an exciting party of out-of-control cars. Your kids will have a fantastic time dodging all the threats at The Joker Coches de Choque.
Old West Territory
How would you like to take a trip to the Wild West? In the Old West Territory the littlest cowboys will discover that there was a time where buildings were made from wood and water was of vital importance. In the desert heat of the Wild West, the only way for the cowboys to cope throughout the day was by cooling off.
And that’s just what you’ll be able to do at Cataratas Salvajes and Río Bravo, two of our most Western attractions where the whole family will get drenched with water. Get stuck in just like the cowboys from the American Wild West and get on board the most fun and successful boat ride in our park. Yee Haw!
At Parque Warner you won’t only be starstruck by seeing all your favourite characters, we also have shows that will leave Bruce Wayne himself stunned. Humour, action, suspense... Our cocktail of emotions is in full swing.
Loca Academia de Policía
If there is one show that will amaze any member of your family it is the spectacular Loca Academia de Policía. Chases, pyrotechnics and exhilarating speed is just a hint of everything you can expect to see at this show, which is a must-see at our park. Fasten your seatbelts! We’ve only just gotten started!
La Liga de la Justicia Meet & Greet
Our friends from the League of Justice are looking for a new member to join their team. Bring your kids so you can all meet Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, the Green Lantern and the Flash at our Meet & Greet with the most famous superheroes from DC Comics. Will you be the brave new members chosen to join the team?
Do you know what Superman and Wonder Woman have in common? Aside from being very brave superheroes, they always find time to recharge their energy. Food is one of the key pillars of their training to face all the villains that stalk their cities.
Cartoon Café
Your little stars will have a great time eating at the favourite restaurant of Cow and Chicken and Taz, the Tasmanian Devil. At Cartoon Café you can enjoy a fun self-service selection including salads, pasta and rice dishes, chicken escalopes and freshly baked pizzas. It’s the perfect rush of energy to get back to filming!
Daily Planet
Visiting Metropolis is incredible, but eating in the Daily Planet newsroom itself is even better. The city of skyscrapers awaits you, where you can taste a huge range of hot and cold sandwiches and waffles. And also, none of these dishes are made with kryptonite, so the strongest superheroes of the house need not worry.
Your day at Parque Warner won’t end when you leave, it will remain in your memories forever. During your visit you can buy the most fun merchandising from any of our stores, so you can take your excitement with you wherever you go.
What’s more, in the summer months you can combine your ticket with a visit to Parque Warner Beach, the place where our superheroes take off their costumes and put on bathing suits.
And finally, here sequels are a good thing. At Parque Warner we organise all kinds of celebrations, from birthdays to communions. Can you imagine if the guests to your kid’s birthday were all their favourite characters? Well stop imagining and experience it for real!
If you’re looking for plans of what to do in Madrid today with your kids, don’t look any further, come to Parque Warner. A plan that is only for the bravest of families!
